Wolfworthy
Shortly after moving to rural Cheshire from London with my wife and three growing children, we decided that a dog would complete our family. After a long search we found Bella, a Leonberger puppy. Her dark gentle eyes and huge floppy paws meant we had no choice but to pick her. As Bella was part of our family we wanted her to have a happy, long and active life. Like most people we just fed her what the breeder had fed her as a puppy. Looking at the label ingredients we soon realised that the breeder's recommended food was low in protein and high in fillers. Although I wasn't a dog nutritionist I was a trained scientist with a PhD in artificial intelligence. I knew that I could use my skills to research and find the best possible food for Bella. We were shocked to find how poor commercial dog food was, and how it could contribute to huge range of health problems including, skin allergies, liver disease and cancer. Bella can't buy her own food so relies on us for her health and wellbeing, we have to make the right choices for her just as we do for our children.
We believe that our dogs live long, healthy and active lives, when they are fed the wholesome natural food that they evolved to eat. That's why we developed Wolfworthy Original 80/20, a delicious food based on the natural whole prey diet of the Grey Wolf. This includes Freshly Prepared Meat, Offal, Fruit, Vegetables and Herbs. Our food is completely Grain-Free.
We wanted our food to have the goodness of a raw-food diet with the convenience of dry food. That's why it had to be: NO Grain, NO Artificial Colours, NO Artificial Preservatives, NO Added Salt, NO GM Ingredients, NO Added Sugar and NO Artificial Flavours.
We're not the only ones who believe in what we are doing, we were so happy to be awarded 5/5 (the highest rating) from the independent dog food review website AllAboutDogFood.com for our food.
